What is Float Therapy?
Float therapy is also known as “Restricted Environmental Stimulation” (REST), “Sensory Deprivation” and “Isolation Therapy”. The anti-gravity environment that is created by the salt solution enables the mind and body to fully relax.
The float tank is filled with 550kg of Epsom salt which removes the effects of gravity on the body, bringing you close to an experience of total weightlessness. This will help to relax your muscles and reduce inflammation within your body.
Allow yourself to recharge and unplug from your chaotic life by lying in a meditative state in a soundproof float tank that is heated to body temperature and complete darkness which creates an environment and experience free from all distractions.

Float therapy helps to flood the body with endorphins & dopamine by the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system. These neurotransmitters are responsible for mood enhancement, pain relief and a decrease in anxiety response.
Studies have shown that the tank has been linked to relieve back pain, neck pain, blood pressure, inflammation, tendinitis and arthritis.

During your Float Therapy session, you are in an environment free from distractions allowing you to completely focus on your thoughts, breathing and meditation.
The combination of magnesium absorption and sensory deprivation helps you to achieve that deep relaxation, recovery and regulate any unhygienic sleep patterns including jet lag and insomnia. One Hour of float therapy is the equivalent to 4-8 hours of deep sleep.
Throughout your Float Therapy session your body will absorb an abundance of healthy minerals such as magnesium and sulphates through the skin. Both minerals are available in Epsom salt. One hour in the Float Pod will allow you to supplement your body’s requirement of magnesium.

Before you Float
Don’t shave or wax on the same day of your float therapy session as the salt in our tanks can cause a distracting feeling on freshly shaved skin due to the high salt content.
Eat lightly prior to your float, try to avoid being too full or hungry at your appointment time.
Don’t spray tan or dye your hair for at least 1 week prior to your treatment.
Avoid smoking or caffeine 2 hours before your float.
